    To raise awareness of the  Mississippi River as an inspirational source of social, ecological, and economic utility.  

The Sinno Communication Team

  • Dr. Abdul K. Sinno , Professor Emeritus and founder of Sinno Communication. As an avid photographer, Dr. Sinno is the author of three photographic books on the Midwest region including "Treasures of the Mississippi: Panoramas and Poetic Reflections", "The Mississippi River: Border to Border Panoramas and Impressions" and "Scenic Treasures of the Midwest: Panoramas and Reflections". His work is exhibited in museums, art galleries, and other fine art outlets throughout the Midwest. Dr. Sinno holds a Ph.D. in mass communication from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.​

  • Rafic Sinno is an associate professor of marketing and department chair of business administration at the University of Dubuque. His teaching emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to helping students discover and develop their proficiency in the marketing and communication fields. Given his dedication and commitment to teaching, Rafic received the Faculty Member of the Year Award (2017) for outstanding teaching, ability to motivate students, and the earned respect of his peers and the Wendt Faculty Character Advancement Award (2021) for advancing excellent moral character in teaching, learning, or living.

  • Rafic’s passion and appreciation for photography led him to cofound Sinno Communication, an inspirational photography prints and training provider. Through this venture, he co-authored three market-leading books with his father, Dr. Abdul K. Sinno: Door County: A photographic journey by land, water, and air, Scenic Treasures of the Midwest: Panoramas and Impressions, and The Mississippi River, Border to Border: Panoramas and Impressions.

  • Before his teaching and entrepreneurial initiatives, Rafic developed and marketed international business and value-added agriculture procurement conferences to further economic development initiatives in Northwest North Dakota. Rafic received his BA in Communication from Clarke University and MBA from the University of Dubuque.

  • Omar Sinno is a software engineer and communications expert. He is a distinguished member of the Sinno Communication team providing consulting and training services in the areas of programming, logistics, systems analysis, photography and technical communication. Omar is currently a software engineer at Platinum Insurance in Dubuque, Iowa.  He holds a BA in Communication and a BS in computer science from Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa.

  • Ollie Sinno, BA Communication, with strong background in graphic design, web optimization and analytics, supervises the design and implemention of the the site. Ollie is also a talented photographer with impressive contributions to the the Sinno Communication Tream.

  • Melissa Sinno, BA Communication, CIS, is the president of Sinno Communication. A talented artists, photographer, and contributor to Sinno Communication. Melissa is in charge of operations for Sinno Communation.
